I don’t know about you, but when I head somewhere new I tend to scout it out first. I’m a bit of an introvert, and at times new places and people can leave me feeling a bit anxious – so having a glimpse into where I’m going is always a good way to help feel more at ease in new situations.

Coming to therapy can be an exciting, nerve-wracking, overwhelming, anticipatory experience – and so we want to do whatever we can do to take some of that edge off and make a first appointment a bit easier.

Perhaps a little look at our office can ease your mind and give you a picture of what to expect when you come to Bloom for the first time.

When you enter the office, there are two chairs and some amazing antique furniture in our open waiting space. Your clipboard will be in the basket, and there is a coat hanger on the wall by the door. Our office shares space with a few other businesses – Purely Massage, Foundations Birth Services, and Grow Photography (who is responsible for those adorable little munchkins on the wall), so there may be a few extra people mingling about when you come in for your appointment.

The counselling office is on the second floor of the Seine River Professional Centre, and looks out at St. Anne’s Road in the south end of Winnipeg – just south of Bishop Grandin Blvd. The windows of the building are tinted so those outside do not have access to see who is inside. It’s a wonderfully sneaky feature that offers more privacy to clients. There are curtains that we can draw also, for clients who would prefer that option.

The therapy room is spacious, clean, and clutter free. Often there’s enough natural light that no other lighting sources are required.
